Hey my precious lovelies, I am back again with another quick review. I have been loving the Shea Moisture line recently because of the fact that it is a more natural product. I also like the scent of most of the line so far, of course some better than others. My hair is currently 10 weeks post and at about the 8 weeks mark it starts getting more tangled and drier. I then decided to try the Shea Moisture Transitioning Milk on my hair to see how it will respond on my 10 weeks post hair.
It is described on the bottle as Shea Moisture’s Raw Shea Butter Extra-Moisture Transitioning Milk for dry, damaged hair which strengthens as it promotes healthy growth while transitioning chemically treated hair to natural healthy hair. It also smoothes the hair and restores brilliant shine.
The directions on the bottle are – Apply as a non-rinse moisturiser and styling cream to damp, towel-dried hair as needed.
It contains all natural ingredients such as Deionized Water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Sugar Starch, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat Germ) Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Essential Oil Blend, Algae Extract, Panthenol, Hyssopus Officinalis Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf and Equisetum Arvense Extract, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Seed Oil, Caprylul Glycol, Topopherol (Vitamin E).
Pros
It is a very moisturising product and literally makes your hair feel so soft/supple and extra moisturised – I must say naming it Extra-Moisture Transitioning Milk is apt. It is definitely more moisturising than the Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk.
It can be used on all sorts of hair and not only transitioning hair so if you are natural or stretching your relaxer, or you have dry hair or texlaxed hair this product will work for you. I was a bit hesitant to try this product out at first because of the tag “transitioning milk”.
It contains all natural ingredients.
I like the fact it comes in a bottle so I do not need to dip my fingers into the product.
It allows for easier detangling and makes you hair more manageable.
Cons
It is quite expensive and the name “transitioning milk” might be misleading preventing those who are not transitioning from trying the product.
It is not readily available in Nigeria. You can however buy it at hair products shops and also online try konga.com
It does not have the best smell compared to the other products in the Shea Moisture Line.
Rating 5/5 (Excellent)
What is your experience with this product or other products in the Shea Moisture line? Are there other Shea Moisture products you would recommend?

Thanx great review, I've actually been thinking of buying this product because generally I have dry hair. Two questions, how does it smell and does it cause any product buildup if used as a regular moisturiser?
Tonkabelle
It smells ok just like the other products in the raw shea butter range and it does not cause build up as long as you are not too heavy handed when using it. Hope I have been able to help, xx
