Hello my lovelies it has been a really long while. I must sincerely apologise for being away for so long. Before you get upset please listen to this – your very own Tonkabelle only recently got married. Due to the amount of planning involved especially at the last minute I had to give my favourite blogging passion the back seat for a while. Also I did not care for my hair as much as I would have liked to. Believe me – planning a wedding is not that easy even with a wedding planner. Especially if you are the perfectionist type like me…

Anyway on the day I was less stressed and did not let anything bother me (God was indeed faithful). I prayed that it should not rain and it did not rain for the most part (at least not where my wedding took place). It was the most glorious day and you trust me that I wore my real hair on the day. A lot of people tried to discourage me saying that a weave would look better but I paid them no mind. I would have loved to do my hair myself but due to the fact that both ceremonies (traditional and white wedding) were taking place on the same day I did not have that kind of time. So the lovely Damilola did my hair for me, if you have natural or relaxed hair or you want your hair done using a weave you can contact me for her details.

Anyway now on to some pictures, my sister helped to do this collage the first is of me in my wedding dress getting to the church and the other is of me in my traditional wedding outfit.

I will definitely share more pictures with you once they are ready. Now on to my hair update I got my hair relaxed on the 9th of November 2013 any progress which I seemed to have gained earlier disappeared after getting the relaxer I guess it was due to the fact that at that point my wedding was only two weeks away. Here is a picture for you to see.

After the wedding we went away for two weeks and my hair really suffered from the sand, sun, salt, ocean and swimming pool, I was having to use a blow dryer constantly and only once washed my hair with the hotel shampoo and used a leave in afterwards as I brought no deep conditioner with me.

I am still trying to get back in the swing of things and adjusting to my new life. I am so excited for Christmas hope you all are as well.  Don’t think I have forgotten I will be announcing the winner of the Birthday Hair Growth Challenge soon.

TONKABELLE, xoxo
