On the 2nd of August 2012 I wrote my first post and was finally able to publish it. I remember how long before then I had actually wanted to start this blog. I had attempted to write my first post on 15th June 2011 more than a year after I started this blog. Why then did it take me so long, you might ask – the reason is simple I was scared of failing even before I started. That was until the day I asked myself this question – “what would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?” and then I took the plunge or at least that was what it seemed like to me at the time and started our darling Wura’s Secret Hair Blog.
This is one of the reasons why I always leave a quote at the end of each of my posts because although this is a blog about hair care, I really want to motivate people to be the very best versions of themselves. Please hear me when I say that if there is anything you want to do but are scared to try – tell yourself you can do it and get out there and make it happen.
I am grateful to God for allowing this blog to make it to one year and by God’s grace there will be many more years to come. I thank all of my followers and everyone who leaves comments for me, you are all my precious jewels of inestimable value and I cherish and appreciate every one of you most wholeheartedly.
I have a lot of things in store for Wura’s Secret Hair and by God’s grace the second year anniversary of this blog would be even more glorious. Thank you all once again my precious lovelies!!!
TONKABELLE, xoxo
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”

Well done on making it to a year Tonkabelle! It's definitely good to just go for it and not let your fears stop you (though I know that's easier said than done) x

Wow. Congrats. I would have thought it was more than year,with all you have posted. I REALLY like your comment about us just doing what we are scared of. I have been thinking of starting a small-scale food-related biz on the side and I've been petrified to say the least! But your words have strengthened me a bit more. Thanks Tonkabelle!

Thank you Geemama dearest, so sorry my response is coming late. I will do a post on texlaxing I actually have one in the works already so please look out for it. You can use any relaxer either lye or no lye. I will also advise that you use a natural oil such as olive oil as opposed to baby oil when mixing it. The ratio should be about 80:20/Relaxer:Oil or an easier option will just be to leave the relaxer on for a very short amount of time you will still end up with texlaxed hair. Please be on the look out for the texlaxing post, xx
